- Dr. Ernst Longbore The chess game between Kai
and Price in "The Game" is a move-by-move copy of an actual championship match chess game (La Bourdonnais vs. McDonnell, 1834). In "Lafftrak", 790 meets
"award-winning author Noch Einmal" in a game show. Noch einmal is German and means "again". It was revealed on the Season
2 DVD that 790's fragment of human brain came from a woman. Eva Habermann was only 18
years old when filming began. In season 2, episodes "The
Web"/"The Net" contain mostly overlapping material but told from a slightly different perspective. But only "The Net" has
a definitive conclusion so the US Sci-Fi Channel decided not to show "The Web" at all. The first season of the series
originally consisted of several 2-hour movies linked together as a mini-series called Lexx: The Dark Zone Lexx was nominated for the
Gemini Award for Best Visual Effects (Tim Segulin, Bob Munroe, Stephen Segal, Kyle Menzies) and again in 1999. The series
was also nominated for the 1998 Gemini Award for Best Original Music Score for a Program or Mini-Series (Marty Simon) and
for the 1998 and 2000 Gemini Award for Best Production Design or Art Direction in a Dramatic Program or Series (Tim Bider,
Bill Fleming (1998); David Hackl (2000)) Kai: I killed mothers with their babies. I've killed great philosophers, proud young warriors, and revolutionaries.
I've killed the evil, the good, the intelligent, the weak, and the beautiful. I have done this in the service of His Divine
Shadow and his predecessors, and I have never once shown any mercy. Prince: Does it? Prince: I'm very good with pain.
