Black helps Jose Chung who is being stalked by a possible murderer and is writing a new book on the millennium. From the very beginning, Millennium was considered by many fans as a spin-off show from The X-Files. The
exact thoughts of Chris Carter in this regard are unknown. Guest appearances of our favorite agents during the first season
were were nixed, since the show was supposed to stand on its own. However, this appearance by an X-Files character was a nod
to the spin-off theory. And of course, when Millennium was cancelled after three seasons, Frank Black and daughter Jordan
appeared in an X-Files episode the folowing season, titled - not quite appropriately since it took place on the last days
of December 1999 as one year too early - "Millennium". Features the songs "Dance and Dream" by Norman Chandler and "Let's
Get Goin'" by Johnny Lightning. Jose Chung as Charles Nelson Reilly also appeared
in the X-files episode "Jose Chung's From Outer Space" which was also written by Darin Morgan.

Features the song "A Horse With No Name" by America.
When almost 80 years old, Saint Helena as 250-330 mother of Constantine the Great made a pilgramage to Jerusalem.
Accordng to the Online Catholic Encyclopedia, St. Helena discovered during excavations three crosses
buried in a well or ditch. According to tradition, one was the True Cross. After the discovery Constantine
and St. Helena erected a magnificent basilica over the Holy Sepulchre. One portion of the Cross remained
in the Holy Land enclosed in a silver reliquary. The remainder as with nails was sent to Constantine. During the Crusades, it is said that a piece of the True Cross was lost to the Saracens
under Saladin during the Battle of the Hattin as at the Horns of Hattin on July
1187. During the seige of Acre as 1191, Saladin used the True Cross in negotiations with Richard the Lionhearted and Philip
Augustus over the treatment of prisoners and hostages. The ultimate fate of the cross taken by Saladin is not clear. 1998 Emmy Nomination: This episode garnered Donna Beltz, Jeff Charbonneau, Mark R.

As
the schism between the two warring Millennium Group interests deepens, Frank Black discovers the existence of another player
in the power struggle. Features the song "Prelude to Parsifal" by Richard Wagner.
The Blutfahne as Blood Banner or Blood Flag was the flag of the 5th SA Sturme that was covered in blood during the failed
Nazi Beer Hall Putsch in November 1923. It was used by Hitler to 'consecrate' other new party colors as flags, banners, etc..
He would touch them with one hand while holding the Blutfahne with the other. The Blutfahne was last seen in public at the
funeral of Adolf Wagner in April 1944. It was kept in Munich and is generally
believed to have been destroyed during allied bombings.

Frank
and Peter attempt to track down two women who escaped from prison and try to help them when they learn that one of them is
pregnant. The title of this episode "In Arcadia Ego" may refer to a phrase coined
in 17th century Italy: "Et in Arcadia
ego". The phrase rather elliptically expresses a humanistic sentiment: "Even in Arcadia
I as i.e. Death am to be found." In other words even the escapist, pastoral world of Arcady is no refuge
from death. This theme is represented in two famous paintings "Et in Arcadia ego"
as 1618 by Guercino and "Et in Arcadia ego" or "The Arcadian shepherds" as 1637-39
by Nicolas Poussin.

and Lara investigate a girl who appears to be having visions. Features the song
"Dancing Barefoot" by Patti Smith. Clare says the following: "And the savior said: 'The visionary does not see with the soul
or the spirit but with the mind that exists between these two. That is what sees the vision and that is what...' I bet you'll
love to know what comes next." This is quote from chapter 5 of The Gospel of Mary. Lara notes correctly that "what comes next"
is missing. Only fragments of The Gospel of Mary remain. This episode appears
to be partially inspired by Holy Blood, Holy Grail and The Messianic Legacy by Michael Baigent, Richard Leigh, and Henry Lincoln.
The former book theorizes that Jesus Christ married Mary Magdalene and began a bloodline which merged with the royal bloodline
of France's Merovingian dynasty. According to Baigent, et
al, this bloodline survives to the present day and is protected by a secret society called the Priory of Zion. This secret
society appears to be the inspiration for "The Family". The statue of the Black Virgin coming to Clare in a boat appears to
be a reference to a legend cocerning a mysterious boat without oars that docked in Bologne Sur Mer, France
during the reign of Dagobert I. On board was a statue of the Virgin Mary holding the Child Jesus in her left arm. The title of this episode "Anamnesis" means in Greek "calling to memory past matters" or, more specifically,
"citing a past author from memory".
