25/12/2001      If They Could See Us Now...! (71' 03")

The Trotters lose their riches in a bad investment in the Central American Markets, and are declared bankrupt. They return to Peckham, and their Mandela House flat.  Cassandra and Rodney are finding their love life is a little flat, so they spice it up by role playing their fantasies. Cassie becomes Rodney's police woman, and Rodney doesn't quite look right as Gladiator.  Del appears on the game show 'Goldrush' in a last ditch attempt to win their fortune back.  Despite a phone call saying Del won a badly written final question, Del tells Mickey Pearce to stick his so-called 'fifty grand'.  This episode was dedicated to the memory of Buster Merryfield (1920-1999) and Kenneth McDonald (1950-2001).  The producers had to say Mike was arrested for deforging the brewery because Kenneth McDonald didn't want them to say he had died.  Originally, Del was supposed to go on "Who Wants to be a Milioneire?" But Legal issues stopped this from happening.
