Buffy The Vampire Slayer (Novelisation)
Buffy, a high school girl bearing the mark of the coven, uses the physical and mental powers new pal Merrick has given her to fight L.A.'s vampires.

The Harvest
A new school, a new assignment for Buffy the vampire slayer. In this gene ration, she is Buffy Summers, a new student at Sunnydale High. Her experiences at her last school persuaded her to try and resume a normal life, but it is no coincidence that Buffy has come to this town.

Halloween Rain
Around the town of Sunnydale, they say that a scarecrow saturated with Halloween rain will come alive and slaughter every one in sight. Buffy's best friends, Xander and Willow, used to think the tale was nonsense, but now they're not so sure.

Coyote Moon
The seedy carnival looks just the thing to give Buffy and her best friends, Xander and Willow, a break from staking bloodsuckers. But Buffy senses something evil behind the show. Can she find out what's going on before it's to late?

Night Of The Living Rerun
Another adventure featuring Buffy Summers, the undercover vampire slayer.

Blooded
Chirayoju, a legendary Chinese vampire, is freed by accident from an ancient curse that imprisoned him in an antique sword. He emerges in Sunnydale, and embarks upon his search for a host body that will allow him to continue wreaking havoc among the living and the dead. But Buffy is on his trail.

Visitors
When a supernatural stalker starts watching Buffy's every move, she finds herself face to face with a being unlike any she's ever encountered. But can she figure out this evil entity's weakness before she is forced to participate in its dance of death?

Unnatural Selection
Slick humour and scary thrills, based on the TV series.

The Power Of Persuasion
When the female population begins to strut its Girl Power, it seems like a normal expression of feminism. After all, in spite of what a few males think, girls trying out for football doesn't signify life-threatening danger. Until the guys start acting like powerless pawns, and a few turn up dead.

Deep Water
An oil spill threatens the coast and rouses some unexpected sea creatures. Ariel is a selkie - a shape-shifting seal girl whom Buffy mistrusts. But far worse are the merrows, who look much like traditional mermaids - except they drink blood.

Here Be Monsters
Something icky is brewing in Sunnydale. This time it's in the form of two clean-cut prep-school boys. Buffy's suspicious from the start, their fashion statement is so old it's dead, and it seems they have a slightly unnatural attachment to their mother.

Ghoul Trouble
Something wicked has been preying on Sunnydale students. Buffy has found human remains that have been picked clean. Help from the rest of the gang would be appreciated but they're all mesmerised by a hot new girl band, so she is on her own.

Doomsday Deck
The gang have been preparing for the Sunnydale Sidewalk Art and Craft Festival. It sees the arrival of Justine, who specialises in Tarot paintings and Buffy has a nagging suspicion that Justine is not all she seems. Then one by one, the gang start to surrender their free will to some unseen force.

Sweet Sixteen
A novel of teenage mystery and angst featuring Buffy's younger sister, Dawn. Buffy's younger sister, Dawn, knows just how it feels to be different, so when she overhears some of her classmates making fun of a new girl, Arianna, she steps in, and the two become friends. But when Buffy comes home one afternoon to find Dawn and Arianna hanging out, she's surprised -- she encountered Arianna one night out on patrol. A demon had been attacking her, but Arianna fought back on her own. It seemed to Buffy like Arianna was well able to look after herself. What's that about? The more the gang gets to know Arianna, the more puzzled they become. She has super strength and accelerated healing power, just like a Slayer. But she also has a dark secret and an unusal past...and a dangerous legacy primed to reveal itself, just as soon as she turns sweet sixteen.

Crossings
When a video game becomes all too real, its possible outcomes turn deadly. Can Buffy, Xander and Anya save its players from crossing the line...? Buffy and Dawn are finding it difficult to adjust now that their mother has gone. Buffy is reluctant to take on the role of parent, and she and Dawn are arguing more than usual. Because of this, Buffy fails to notice some strange behaviour among the video-game crowd in Sunnydale. One of Xander's friends starts acting crazy outside the cinema -- laughing and babbling to himself, muttering that he can't be stopped -- and as Xander and Anya investigate, it becomes clear that people who have been testing a new video game are similarly affected. As the Slayer attempts to put all of the pieces together, Anya is abducted into an alternate demon universe. Buffy has to find a way to get her back to Sunnydale before the game is over, for good...

Little Things
The Slayer and her friends discover that saving the world may be one thing, but dealing with life's little everyday gremlins can be quite another! Since her mother's death, Buffy has had a hard time coping. Finding herself suddenly alone and in charge of her younger teenage sister is daunting enough, and being responsible at the same time for saving the world...Buffy is used to dealing with the big stuff, but it's the little things that threaten to get on top of her. She has a toothache; but no dental insurance. Her financial problems are a constant worry -- it's hard to earn a living when you're out every night combating the forces of evil. Nor is she the only one who is having trouble with life's little irritations. Anya and Xander are trapped in their apartment by a plague of ants, and it seems that everyone is trying to put up with some annoyance or other. Then Spike discovers pocket-sized evil wreaking havoc in Weatherly Park, mini-monsters perfectly capable of causing major trouble. In order to stop them, the Slayer's going to have to think small!

The Lost Slayer 1: Prophecies
Buffy has found it harder than she thought to adjust to college life, especially when Willow has found it so easy. When the spirit of dead Slayer Lucy Hanover warns Buffy in a dream of imminent disaster, the timing could hardly be worse.

The Lost Slayer 2: Dark Times
Buffy wakes up in what appears to be an alternate future but back in the present, her friends puzzle over her behaviour, unaware that the Prophet inhabits her body. Either they must find a way to bring her back or she must return on her own - if she can overcome the nightmare that awaits her.

The Lost Slayer 3: King Of The Dead
The third volume in a four-part serial novel in which Buffy must battle to avert a terrible future where unlimited evil rules. Her mother is dead; Angel has disappeared; Buffy's friends are changed - harder. But that's not the worst of it, her enemies are different too.

The Lost Slayer 4: Original Sins
The final volume in a four-part serial novel in which Buffy must battle to avert a terrible future where unlimited evil rules. Can she defeat a foe who taught her and trained her? And even with the help of Willow and the Slayerettes, can she return to her real-time body?

The Angel Chronicles, Vol 1
The vampire Angelus flees to Sunnydale where he restricts his feeding to blood banks. Then 16-year-old Buffy Summers, the vampire slayer, arrives in town to battle the Forces of Darkness, and so begins their star-crossed love story. This volume contains three tales from the TV series.

The Angel Chronicles, Vol 2
Buffy Summers, the Vampire Slayer, and her boyfriend, Angel the vampire, are going through the usual early stages of a romantic relationship - dressing to impress, going on coffee dates, and saving the world. But when Buffy tries to be like the girls from Angel's past, she succeeds too well.

The Angel Chronicles, Vol 3
After a century of killing without a care, the vampire Angelus was cursed with a conscience and fled to Sunnydale, where he restricted his feeding to blood banks, until Buffy arrived to battle vampires and demons.

The Xander Years, Vol 1
Having a Y-chromosome in Sunnydale is never easy, but Buffy the vampire slayer's friend Xander seems to find extra trouble with the opposite sex. When he starts dating Cordelia all goes well, until she decides he's harming her social standing.

The Xander Years, Vol 2
Xander has to master some out-of-control animal instincts and then goes undercover to unravel a very fishy mystery. Finally, excluded from the Slayer's plans, he is forced to face up to his own private evil and find a strength he never knew he had in order to save the future of Sunnydale High.

The Willow Files, Vol 1
Bookish, quiet Willow was the first of Buffy's new schoolmates to befriend her on her arrival in Sunnydale. As a Slayerette Willow begins to come out of her shell, revealing an unexpected strength of character and a sharp, dry wit. Her love life, however, remains severly lacking until she meets Oz.

The Willow Files, Vol 2
Willow has always longed for more parental guidance, but when Sunnydale's adults are swept up in a witch hunt, Willow finds that her mother's judgement really burns. Ultimately though, she realizes that whether it be as net girl or Wicca extraordinary, she was meant to combat evil.

How I Survived My Summer Vacation, Vol 1
Buffy is taking a break in LA with her father, but things that go bump in the night don't take vacation. So Buffy is trying to keep a lid on thing in LA. Meanwhile, Giles and Jenny Calender are trying to keep the forces of darkness away in Sunnydale, with no help from slayers.

The Cordelia Collection, Vol 1
A novelization by Nancy Krulik. Based on the hit TV series created by Joss Whedon. Fashionista and leader of the pack Cordelia is known throughout Sunnydale High for her irrespressible blend of tactless maxims as much as she is renowned for her beauty. Most students, even the members of her anti-fan club, either want her or want to be her. Popularity proves a tough cross to bear, though: First, Cordy is stalked by an invisible being fueled by envy, and later she is deemed an ideal mate for a onetime Sunnydal football star, problem is, he's currently deceased. But her most dangerous challenge is the race for Homecoming Queen. Forget the dance, Queen C will be lucky to escape with her life!

The Faith Trials, Vol 1
"A Slayer's life is simple. Want...Take...Have." A gripping novelisation of three key episodes featuring Faith, the bad Slayer. Sometimes it's gotta be a drag to be the Chosen One. There are times when a girl would rather be at the mall, talking on the phone, or even doing homework than saving the world from unstoppable evil. Fortunately, Buffy Summers has always had a support system of friends, family and a father-figure Watcher to help her cope. But what if she hadn't? She might have been just like Faith. Faith, the 'shadow-self' Slayer, is strong, sexy and willful. When she first arrives in Sunnydale, Watcherless and fancy-free, Buffy has doubts about tag-team patrol. As time goes on, though, she learns to find the fun in synchronised slayage, and appreciates Faith's zest for life...until Faith's impulsive approach to her calling takes her one step too far...and her inability to cope with the consequences eventually pushes her over the edge.

The Journals Of Rupert Giles, Vol 1
A novelization of three key episodes each of which features Buffy's English Watcher, Giles. Buffy Summers is hip, modern, and utterly immersed in pop culture. Rupert Giles is a traditional Englishman whose idea of bliss is a good book and a strong cup of tea. Difficult though it may be to come up with an odder couple, the duo have managed to avert their fair share of apocalypses. One thing they can't seem to conquer, however, is Buffy's bad birthday luck. At eighteen, she is subjected to a Watcher's Council Cruciamentum, a test of her ability to handle danger without the help of her Slayer powers. The rite, however, also tests Giles' attitude towards both his charge and his calling, and leaves their relationship on a rather different footing. One year on, when Buffy's friends throw her a surprise party for her nineteenth, Giles finds himself feeling useless and out of the loop, and an evening spent in the company of his one-time crony Ethan Rayne means that his problems are only just beginning. But it is at the Slayer's twentieth birthday gathering that both Buffy and Giles are forced to re-examine the nature of blood ties and the definition of family - or risk losing a mutual loved one more important to them - and the fate of the world - than either ever imagined...Based on the episodes Helpless, A New Man and Blood Ties.

Research leads Giles to the Watchers' Diaries, where he learns that the last Slayer to encounter a similar box was one named India Cohen...Buffy's immediate predecessor. When she refuses to cooperate, the Council turns its attention southward, to another Slayer who may be more willing to execute their plans. That the Watchers Council can be both pragmatic and ruthless is not in doubt. The "wetworks" team they despatched first to capture and later to kill the errant Faith provides ample proof of that. But the assassination squad that should have taken Faith out failed to complete their assignment, leaving the rouge Slayer alive and apparently repentant in a Los Angeles jail. Desperate times require desperate measures. But is it wise of the Council to try to use her now?

These Our Actors
Stage fright takes on a whole new meaning as Willow joins a theatre group and finds herself taking part in a truly hellish drama...The past couple of years have seen Willow's Wiccan powers develop to an impressive -- and potentially dangerous -- level, as viewers of Buffy Season Six will know. But even the most confident of witches has her deepest secret fears, and Willow's have always involved performing on stage in front of an audience. In her near-fatal dream sequence in the crucial Season Five episode 'Restless', it was this fear that enabled the Primal Slayer to enter her consciousness in order to destroy her as she slept. So when Willow decides to join the UC Sunnydale Drama Group in order to master her fear, it's a major step for her to take. But forgetting her lines or corpsing on stage soon turn out to be the least of her worries, as the drama that's being enacted on the hellmouth is most emphatically no play. Blood And Fog

But Spike, as usual, has an agenda of his own. The demon carries vial of pure magical power, and Spike can think of several people -- or demons for that matter -- who would pay the earth to have it in their possession. Doc, for instance. Or Rack. Or the nameless evil known only as The First. Spike has met The First before. In the good old days in Victorian London when he, Drusilla, Angelus and Darla ran through the night in pursuit of unholy fun, another terror also stalked the streets. And when the so-called 'Jack the Ripper' struck too close for comfort, the vampires found themselves on the same side as the Slayer of that time. Working to bring down Jack, and running afoul of The First, Spike and the Slayer formed an uneasy alliance: a bond which has tracked him down the years to twenty-first century Sunnydale, now blanketed in an eerie, mysterious fog...

Chosen: The One
A novelisation of the entire seventh season of the Buffy TV saga.

Chaos Bleeds
Favourite villain Ethan Rayne is back in town - along with the ancient evil known only as The First. Buffy Summers makes enemies. Powerful ones. She can't avoid it - it goes with the job of being the Slayer, the one girl in all the world with the strength to destroy vampires and demons. Those who fall foul of her and live to tell the tale tend to harbour resentment and thoughts of revenge. One such is Ethan Rayne; devious, treacherous and suave. Ethan has a history with Giles, too. Their dabbling in the occult in their wilder student days led Giles to accept his destiny as a Watcher and set Ethan firmly on the path to darkness. Now Ethan returns to Sunnydale - surprisingly, asking for Buffy's help. He seems to have roused The First, the ancient evil that predates humankind. But then The First offers Ethan a deal which will gain him ultimate power. All Ethan has to do in exchange is to lure Buffy into battle...

Mortal Fear
A zombie plague hits Sunnydale. Who can the Slayer turn to when her friends and family catch the bug? An outbreak of zombies wreaks havoc in the beleaguered town of Sunnydale, when a new virus starts turning the town's denizens into the undead. Buffy can handle an attack by rampaging zombie hoards, but can she protect those closest to her from the contagion spreading like wildfire through the populace?

Apocalypse Memories
Willow can feel something strange happening, but seems as if no-one else has even noticed. They have problems of their own to deal with. Personal issues...relationship issues...the usual, everyday hassles that life is all about. But Willow's fears are on a whole new level. She is still not happy with using her powers again, not after what happened when she lost control. People died. The power within her is massive, and if something should turn it to darkness, nobody is safe. Who knows what she might do? But her instincts are right. A wolf in sheep's clothing has set off a series of freakish events: rivers of blood, flash storms, and the arrival of an unbelievable supernatural being. The apocalypse is here. Again. And while the world falls to pieces around them, Buffy and her friends -- including Giles, returned from England -- must decide what is most important. There is one last hope: a secret long-lost spell. But its side effects are dangerous. Is Willow ready and willing to take the risk...?

Wicked Willow 1: The Darkening
Wrestling with her increasing addiction to magic, Willow is devastated when her inability to stop using her power results in Tara leaving her. Far worse is to come however when no sooner are she and Tara reconciled than Tara is shot and killed by a stray bullet which had been meant for Buffy. Out of her mind with grief, Willow opens herself to the full power of her magic -- but magic of the darkest possible kind. Determined to revenge herself on those responsible for her lover's death, Willow begins her nightmare descent into evil. In the woods outside Sunnydale she exacts a terrible price from the captive Warren, who fired the fatal bullet -- she flays him alive; Buffy, Xander and Anya arriving too late to stop her. But the death of Warren is not enough for Willow. Now her friends can only watch as the juiced-up witch sets off on a trail of vengeance and magic-gathering to prepare a spell that will bring Tara back to her. Whoever gets in her way is going to regret it -- including the Slayer, still hoping to save her best friend...

Wicked Willow 2: Shattered Twilight
Following the events of The Darkening, even Willow's own coven has turned against her, condemning her for saving Buffy from their evil phantom and for not protecting the other coven members as she promised them she would. Willow must find a way to restore herself to them, to reinforce her position of power, which is hanging in the balance. If the truth should get out -- that Willow fought the phantom because the ghost of Tara told her to -- it will lower her still further in their eyes. That is a risk she cannot afford to take. The time has come for big magic. Infallible magic. As Willow turns to the elements for protection, can Buffy and Co. overcome her -- without losing her forever...?

Wicked Willow 3: Broken Sunrise
The Ghost of Tara has disappeared. At first Willow thought it was because of something she'd done -- or worse, that the universe was again conspiring to hurt her. But it's almost impossible to keep secrets from a witch, especially one as powerful as Willow, and ultimately she learns that Buffy and the gang are the culprits. Willow desperately wants Tara back. Not only does she miss her immensely, the spirit's presence is necessary to perform the resurrection spell Willow's been working on. Though her first impulse is to charge off and bring her wrath down upon the heads of her old friends, her coven reminds her that in the past, when Willow has allowed anger to control her, she has failed. Willow must develop an alternate plan to regain Tara's spirit and perform the spell. Buffy and the Scoobies hope to drain Willow's power, and release Spike and Oz from their enslavement. But Willow's anger is endless, and it seems she'll stop at nothing in her fight to bring Tara back, no matter what the cost....

The Suicide King (March 2005)
A rash of student suicides sweeps through Sunnydale, deeply unsettling the community. But when the newly-arrived grief counsellor also ends up killing himself, Buffy and the gang suspect that something supernatural is to blame. Then one of their own begins to show signs of debilitating despondency; and soon it becomes a race against time for the Slayer to defeat an ancient entity known as The Suicide King

Keep Me In Mind (May 2005)
Nemesis Ethan Rayne returns to Sunnydale and unleashes a long-trapped sorcerer from medieval Bavaria. And if working out Ethan's true motivation while dealing with a none-too-friendly spellcaster on the loose were not enough to keep Buffy from her chemistry homework, she also finds hereself encountering a seemingly random parade of old adverseries out to settle the score.

Queen of the Slayers (June 2005)
Willow's magickal distribution of the Slayer essence has left girls across the world discovering the full extent of their latent power. Giles races to reorganise the remnants of the Watchers Council, while the Scoobies relocate to Europe. In Rome, Buffy is drawn to a charismatic figure known as The Immortal. But then comes word that the novice slayers are being coerced to join the self-styled Queen of the Slayers - an awesome evil who wants to claim the intoxicating Slayer essence for herself. Sent to Africa to learn more about the origins of the Slayer essence, Xander returns with chilling news. There is not enough good in the world to counteract the overbundance of evil, and that far from being averted, the Apocalypse is drawing much too near. Alliances are formed and loyalties betrayed as it comes down to slayer versus slayer, leading to an ultimate battle of champions from Buffy's past and present. And then an unimaginable gift arrives...

Spark And Burn (August 2005)
In Spark and Burn, fan-favourite Spike - the other vampire with a soul - takes centre stage. For centuries he was a bloodthirsty scourge of humankind, killing without bias, feeding on whomever (or whatever) came his way. That would all change when Riley Finn and the covert organisation known as the Initiative planted a microchip in his brain which rendered him incapable of harming a human being. As Spike learned to cope with this handicap - the worst a vampire could imagine - he found himself falling in love with the woman who had been his nemesis - Buffy Summers, the Slayer. Their relationship is a stormy one, with years of mistrust between them. But after Spike regains his soul, undergoing terrible trials in the process, he and Buffy come to a kind of peace with one another; and Spike, finally, begins to find peace with himself.

COLLECTIONS
Tales of the Slayer, Vol 1
Into every generation, a Slayer is born. One girl in all the world, to find the vampires where they gather, and to stop the spread of their evil and the swell of their numbers. In our time, that girl is Buffy Summers. But Buffy is merely one Slayer in an eternal continuum of warriors for the Powers That Be. We've known of others: The Primal Slayer, who stalked the earth and the forces of darkness in fierce solitude...Nikki, the funky hipster whose demise at Spike's hands lent an urban edge to his wardrobe and a bigger bounce to his swagger. Slayers by nature have a limited life expectancy; for each one who falls, another rises to take her place. Tales of the Slayer, Vol. 1, chronicles Slayers past who have influenced -- and are influenced by -- the traditions and mythologies of yore. From ancient Greece, to aristocratic Slayers holding court in revolution-era France, to the legend of the Bloody Countess Elizabeth Bathory, to 1920's Munich, each girl has a personal history, a shared moral code, and a commitment to conquer evil, regardless of the cost....

Tales of the Slayer, Vol 2
Buffy the Vampire Slayer has always held an irreverent attitude toward her calling, but ultimately she understands the ramifications of her destiny and is prepared to die to protect the world from Evil. In fact, she has died. Twice. It's an ancient tradition, steeped in lore, mythology, and fateful prophecies. Slayerdom consists of a Council of Watchers, a continuum of slayers, an archive of journals, and even a handbook. But first and foremost, it begins with a girl. One girl in all the world. A Chosen One. Now, catch up on other Slayers past and present, in the second short-story collection, Tales of the Slayer, Vol. 2! With contributions from Scott Allie, Laura J. Burns and Melinda Metz, Max Allan Collins and Matthew V. Clemens, Greg Cox, Kara Dalkey, Jane Espenson, Rebecca Rand Kirshner, Todd McIntosh, Michael Reaves, and Kristine Kathryn Rusch.

Tales of the Slayer, Vol 3
The Slayers' lives are short, and not very sweet. The Watchers' Journals are full of their tales -- their battles, their triumphs, and ultimately, their successors. Buffy the Vampire Slayer is but the latest in a long line of women warriors stretching back to the dawn of humankind. As long as there have been vampires, there has been a Slayer. Usually called in her teens, the Chosen One leads a brief life full of conflict and doom. From the Anasazi villages of A.D. 1250 to Shanghai, China, in 1866, from Hollywood in the '40s to Buffy's predecessor in Tokyo of the '90s, Slayers have always risen above their most recent defeat. Four best-selling Buffy novelists come together in a collection of novellas chronicling tales of Slayers past. Christopher Golden, Nancy Holder, Mel Odom, and Yvonne Navarro each present a new entry in the historic line of Slayers.

Tales of the Slayer, Vol 4
At eighteen, each Slayer must face a terrifying trial: the Tento di Cruciamentum. This time-honored, albeit cruel, rite of passage forces each Watcher to drain the Slayer of all her physical powers and then send her to vanquish a powerful vampire using only her wits. When Buffy Summers underwent her Cruciamentum, she managed to defeat Kralik, a vampire who had been committed to a sanitarium as a human for torturing and murdering more than a dozen young women before he was turned. However, not all Slayers have been so cunning. Tales of the Slayer, Vol. 4 chronicles the Cruciamentum of eight earlier Slayers. From Prohibition Chicago to beatnik New York City, from the sideshows of a traveling carnival to a small Irish farm, from the fifteenth century to the twentieth, the Cruciamentum has tested the prowess of Slayers throughout history. Each of them has had to fight: for her job, for the lives of those she loved, and for her own existence…
