1 - The Culex Experiment
A man is bitten by a strange mosquito-like insect just as Kevin passes by on his bike. Kevin watches as two women take the man away on a motorbike. A woman, Dr. Culex, watches on a monitor in a dark laboratory. She says the boy on the bike must be eliminated. Kevin arrives at the train station where Megabyte is waiting and runs into a phone booth. But he is soon face to face with one of the mosquitos and is bitten. He falls into a coma. Adam teleports to the station, and he and Megabyte attempt to revive Kevin, but they can't. At the hospital, a young girl, Ami, begins to have visions of Kevin being bitten and she finds Kevin's hospital room and the Tomorrow People. She tells them that Kevin was bitten by the mosquito. Adam & Megabyte take her outside and explain to her that she is a tomorrow person. She believes them, until Megabyte blurts out something about a spaceship. Later, as Kevin's doctor, Dr. Poole, is taking a blood sample, Culex's assistants, the terrible twins, attack him and take Kevin. Ami, visiting her mother in the hospital, starts seeing visions of Kevin being abducted. She runs down the hall and meets Adam & Megabyte. The three attempt to stop the twins, but they can't. Ami sees their motorbike and catches a glimpse of the license plate, but she can't see the number clearly. Adam & Megabyte take Ami to the ship. She now acknowledges the fact that she is a tomorrow person. The three decide to mindmerge to try to learn what happened to Kevin. As they see everything that happened to him, a vision of one of the deadly mosquitoes appears and Ami screams.
